Erin Blackmore is currently volunteering full time as the Director of Hope Match. She previously worked as a Volunteer Coordinator for a local Hospice organization. Prior to working for hospice, Erin worked for Department of Social Services as a Case Manager.

With over 7 years of experience in helping people in need, she has learned how to be discerning, as well as compassionate. She is passionate about using the gifts and abilities that God has given her to bring Hope to people who feel hopeless.

Her career, degree in Sociology, and love of bringing encouragement to people brought her to the place of founding this organization. She is very excited about how HopeMatch will impact future generations.

When she was young, her family received help from others during Christmas. She personally knows how much generosity can change a family and wants to help impact many families like she was through HopeMatch!

Derick Henderson — Faith Community Liaison

Derick Henderson attended law school to find a way to use a legal career to help ordinary people facing financial challenges. Since graduating in 2009, he has done just that as a bankruptcy attorney serving the Charlotte Metro area and surrounding counties.

As an attorney, Derick has observed that there are many other ways in which struggling families need guidance and encouragement in addition to good legal counsel. In HopeMatch, Derick believes he has committed to a movement that will serve a vital role in connecting his neighbors to the resources, encouragement and lasting hope that they need. Derick serves HopeMatch by seeking to initiate and to develop strategic partnerships in our community for the purpose of helping one another achieve the shared goal of loving our neighbors well.
