Welcome to HOPEmatch. By accessing or using our website at hopematch.org, creating an account, donating, sponsoring a family, or enrolling in our text-message program, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

HOPEmatch is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Charlotte, North Carolina that brings hope and dignity to local families who have fallen on hard times. We connect donors with families and students in need through programs such as family sponsorship, the Back to School Bash, and seasonal giving drives.

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your login credentials secure, and to be responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

Donations may be made as one-time or recurring gifts and are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe; HOPEmatch does not store your full card details. Donations to HOPEmatch are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and you will receive a receipt by email. Recurring gifts continue until you cancel, which you may do at any time from your donor account or by contacting us.

Because donations support our charitable mission, they are generally non-refundable. If you believe a gift was made in error or wish to discuss a refund, please contact us promptly and we will do our best to help.

When you sponsor a family or student, you agree to shop for the items on their wish list and drop them off at the collection point and within the dates we provide. Gifts should be new, unwrapped, and labeled as instructed. Sponsorship details, including any suggested spending amount, are shown before you confirm. We coordinate fulfillment using the contact information you provide, which is kept confidential and used only for this purpose.

HOPEmatch offers an optional text-messaging program to keep donors, family sponsors, nominated families, and volunteers informed about their activity with us — for example, sponsorship and donation confirmations, receipts, event and drop-off reminders, and account or nomination updates.

• Consent. By providing your mobile number to HOPEmatch (through your account, a sponsorship, a family nomination, or a volunteer sign-up) and agreeing to our messaging terms, you consent to receive text messages from HOPEmatch at that number, including messages sent using automated technology. Consent is not a condition of any donation or purchase.
• Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your activity with HOPEmatch.
• Cost. Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile carrier’s plan. HOPEmatch does not charge for the messages themselves.
• Opt out. You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we will send a one-time confirmation and will not send further messages unless you opt back in. You may rejoin by replying START.
• Help. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at info@hopematch.org or (704) 271-4636.
• Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers may change over time.
• Privacy. We will never sell or share your mobile number or text-message opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details.

You agree to use the site lawfully and not to interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access, misrepresent your identity, or use the site to harass others or to collect information about other users. We may remove content or restrict access for conduct that violates these terms.

The HOPEmatch name, logo, and the content on this site are owned by HOPEmatch or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute site content without our permission, except as needed for your personal use of our programs.

The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, HOPEmatch is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or our programs.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date below. Your continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
